What this site collects, why, and what it never does with it. Last updated 24 September 2026.
What is collected
Only what a form asks for. Contributing, suggesting an edit, reporting wrong information, asking or answering a question: your name and a phone number, and an email address if you choose to give one. Confirming that a record is still accurate asks for nothing about you at all. Browsing needs no account; there is no tracking script and no third-party analytics anywhere on the site.
Why the phone number
So a reviewer can reach you before your contribution is published. Every submission is read by a person, and a record that cannot be checked with the person who sent it cannot be published as verified. It is used for that and nothing else: no messages, no lists, no marketing.
If you create an account
An account is needed only to see contact and application details. It holds your name, email, and a password stored as a one-way hash - or nothing but your name and email if you sign in with Google. Your specialty, training level and city are optional; they tailor what you see and are counted, as totals, to show the site is used. You can change them, or ask for the account to be deleted, at any time.
The emails we send
Only what you asked for or need: confirming your address, resetting your password, and the outcome of something you contributed. Programme updates are sent only if you tick the box for them, and every one has a one-click unsubscribe. Emails are delivered through Resend, which sees only the address and the message.
What appears publicly
Your name appears only if you tick the box asking for it, and only next to the contribution you consented to show it on. Your phone number and email are never shown, in any case. A public contact appears only if you type one yourself into the field that says so. You may ask for your name to be removed at any time.
Accuracy votes and page views
Voting on a record, or simply opening one, stores a salted one-way hash of your network address and browser so the same vote is not counted twice. The address itself is never written down and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
How long it is kept
Contact details stay with the submission they came with, because they are the evidence that a published record was checked with a real person. Ask and they will be removed from a submission of yours; the published information itself stays, since it belongs to the directory rather than to you.
What is never done
Nothing collected here is sold, rented, or handed to advertisers - they see only totals, such as how many members follow a specialty, never who you are. No data is shared with a hospital, a training programme, or the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. This site is independent of all of them.
Your rights
Under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law you may ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Every such request is answered.
To ask anything about this notice, or to have your details corrected or removed, use Report wrong information.
